The Law Society jointly with the Conseil national des barreaux (CNB), the French National Bar, is organising a seminar in order to discuss issues of importance to both jurisdictions, and to facilitate greater cooperation within the legal profession.
Two panels of experts will discuss the latest developments, challenges and opportunities in France and England and Wales on two different topics.
The first panel will discuss the impact of Brexit on the legal profession both in England and Wales, and in France. We will discuss practice rights issues and market access for lawyers and law firms, cooperation in civil justice, and also update the audience on our acitivites in relation to Brexit since the oucome of the referendum.
Legal technology, or Legal Tech, that is the use of technology and software to provide legal services, has gaines significant traction over the last few years. We will discuss innovation in the legal sector, how it changes the way legal services are delivered, and implications for the legal profession.
