Disappearance of the human rights defender Samar Abbas in Pakistan

The Law Society of England and Wales sent an intervention letter on the case of disappearance of the human rights defender Samar Abbas in Pakistan. 

In the letter, the Law Society draws attention to relevant international standards on the protection of human rights defenders and on freedom of expression. It calls the Government of Pakistan to conduct an independent, impartial and thorough investigation on this case, in order to bring light to the disappearance of Mr. Abbas.
