The Law Society of England and Wales is concerned about the detention of two human rights defenders in Saudi Arabia.

It is alleged that Mr Kossak and Mr Al Musheikhis have been arrested because of their human rights related work, which would breach their rights to freedom of expression and association. The Law Society urged His Majesty the King of Saudi Arabia to release the two human rights defenders and comply with international and regional human rights standards that Saudi Arabia is bound to. It also called upon the compliance with human rights standards during the detention of the two human rights defenders.
