This case concerned a two-year-old girl (“N”) who was the subject of proceedings brought under the Child Abduction and Custody Act 1985 (incorporating the Hague Convention 1980) and under Brussels IIA. The mother (“M”) sought N’s return to Canada, from where she claimed N had been wrongfully retained. The father (“F”) opposed the application.
