This seminar looks at behavioural economics, which has become a mainstream tool in guiding competition policy in a number of markets. Dr Mike Walker and Mat Hughes will consider the contributions which behavioural economics can make, its limitations and the pitfalls to be avoided.
Dr Mike Walker is chief economic advisor at the Competition and Markets Authority
Mat Hughes is a managing director in AlixPartners’ European competition practice, which is part of a broader litigation practice. He has some 25 years of experience as an anti-trust economist and in dealing with European and UK competition authorities in relation to all aspects of competition law.
