In one of the four webinars inclusive in 2015 Civil Litigation Section membership, Peter Ellis outlines changes to IP law, including in the Intellectual Property Act 2014

The Intellectual Property Act 2014 will come into force between October 2014 and the end of 2015.Stemming from the Hargreaves Review on intellectual property reform, the act seeks to modernise and simplify certain aspects of intellectual property law including the law relating to designs, in order to promote innovation. It puts design rights on an even footing with copyright and trademarks and introduces criminal liabilities for infringers.
