Following new rules which will result in prospective adopters being automatically assigned a serial number in adoption and related applications to preserve their confidentiality, the Family Procedure Rule Committee have published amended forms and guidance notes.
Earlier this year, the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) announced a five month pilot of settlement conferences across a number of family law courts. It is hoped that these conferences will provide a means of reducing the length of public law proceedings, making the family justice system more efficient and help to identify opportunities to better utilise judicial resources.
