The Brazilian Bar Association has approved a new ID card scheme for Foreign Legal Consultants.
The Brazilian Bar has voted to uphold the current rules for foreign law firms operating in Brazil. After a year long debate there was a unanimous decision from the Federal Council of the Ordem dos Advogados do Brasil (OAB).
The first wave of Brazilian lawyers recently took part in the inaugural Brazilian British Exchange Programme. This joint initiative was set up by the Bar Council, the Law Society, BPP Law School, the Ordem dos Advogados do Brasil (OAB) and Lex Anglo-Brasil.
