On Monday, the Secretary of State for International Trade Liam Fox signed a continuity Free Trade Agreement with Korea that will allow English and Welsh solicitors to continue to practise in Korea. This is welcome relief for the profession and more specifically for the four U.K. firms established there under an EU licence to be able to remain in Seoul post-Brexit.

The Law Society launched its Intervention Tracker 2018. This is the third intervention tracker produced by the Law Society.
The Law Society has joined a submission to four UN Special Rapporteurs on the arbitrary detention and long-term imprisonment of 18 lawyers, in violation of their right to a fair trial and right to freedom of expression. The submission was signed by 24 representatives of law societies, bar associations, and international organisations.
