On 6 November 2018, the Law Society hosted the London launch of the International Legal Assistance Consortium’s (ILAC) judicial assessment report on Guatemala. Over 30 people including solicitors, barristers, academics, law students, and INGOs attended this event.
This year’s Geneva Peace Week (5-9 November 2018) focused on the urgency of finding peaceful solutions for the growing risks of violent conflict, building on the lessons from history, and the needs for future peacebuilding practice. More than 65 events were organised by 120 partners over 5 days, which helped to maximise networking opportunities as well as creating synergies between the organisations and its participants.
